August Ele-update!
They are still out on the streets of Norwich, still attracting visitors and a lot of press. Here are two articles from recent publications discussing the Elephants of Norwich. One from the in-house magazine of John Lewis - Norma has made the front cover! and the other is from the Bank Holiday edition of the Eastern Daily Press - again with a photo of Norma!
The elephants are only on the streets up to the 31st of August 2008 and then go for a break and a 'touch up' at the Bally Shoe Factory then on to the big auction in September! See you there!

Sexwize
This week saw the launch of 'Sexwize' a film and animation project I have been working on with Media Projects East and a team of young people from across Norfolk over the past 3 years.
We created drama and animation sections for a publication that will be used in schools and youth clubs around the country helping young people make informed choices about their sexual partners.
I worked on filming sequences, audio recording, developing narratives, animations and puppetry sections to help the participants get their messages across. The attached article gives more detail of the finished piece.

Elephants of Norwich
What an exciting week it has been. The elephants are out on the street and look fantastic. Here are a few shots of them and I shall attempt to hunt them all down.
It is quite thrilling to see one's work on the streets so here's NORMA (made with the staff of John Lewis), CAMOFLAGEPHANT and KING KERCHING all of which I had a hand in (as it were).

Elephant Update May
The 'Camoflagephant' is nearly finished. The bricks are done, the mortar is done, some writing is done. It needs a little tweaking and cleaning up, but I think we are there. The picture is of its ear before the grouting was completed.
The photo above is a new quickie. They were desperate for someone to help with a Moneyphant. This is covered in copies of cash!!

Elephant a go-go
An update on the elephants of Norwich project. The 'Camoflagephant' for Dragon Hall is showing that the brickwork is almost all in place and now onto the grouting. We are incorporating text in the grout - memories of King Street - so that should be an interesting addition right at the end. PS Don't ask about the hat.
The elephant called 'Norma' (TOP) by partners of John Lewis in Norwich is almost complete - a couple of hours more and the bright, vibrant and distinctly Norwich elephant will be exhibiting all its glory.

Go Elephants!
Go Elephants is an open air exhibition of large fibreglass eephants that will be placed around Norwich in the summer 08. I am pleased to say that I will be running workshops for the partners of John Lewis department store here in Norwich as well as having been commissioned by Dragon Hall to create their 'Camoflagephant'.
Their progress will be followed here.

Project: TSURU
Tsuru was a short film commissioned by Screen East and the UKFC and screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007, that's in France. Working with Matt Reeve and Tristan Brittaine was a wonderful experience as we all learnt and developed filmically and personally.
A trailer for the film can be found on www.tsurufilm.com. Please send any responses to tim@tsurufilm.com.
